The primary part of the build is a Felcom 82B dish which was developed to be a satellite link for naval vessels. The image showing the back side of it subjects all of the extras he developed into the system. Don’t concern though, a dome reviews the top to keep the weather condition out without encumbering its operation.He utilizes an SDR dongle to deal with the radio communications. That links to a BeagleBone which pipes the data to his handheld over the Internet.
It’s remarkable to see this type of pastime project. It wasn’t that long ago that you needed an entire space of hardware to communicate with satellites.
